What We Ate: State Fair of Texas
Two weekends ago, my husband, some friends and I trekked out for the final weekend of the State Fair of Texas, not entirely sure what to expect but knowing we would surely indulge in some decadent food while there.
Indulge, we did. And I have pictures to prove it:
{Clockwise from top left: The famous Fletcher’s Corny Dog condiment stand and the Fletcher’s Corny Dog that I devoured. Fried Bacon Cinnamon Roll and Fried Jambalaya with an onion ring.}
{Clockwise from top left: Beers of the world at the Magnolia Beer Garden. A hand-rolled soft pretzel, complete with a layer of butter and salt. Texas Cotton Candy. And Fried Texas Cookie Dough.}
…
Did you go to the State Fair of Texas this year? If so, what did you eat? If not, what would you eat?
…
Other things and places where we ate and drank: What We Ate: State Fair of Texas (2014) / What We Ate: Cape Cod {May 2014} / What We Ate: State Fair of Texas (2013) / What We Ate: Sylvain (New Orleans, La.) / What We Ate: New Orleans (May 2013) / What We Ate: Los Angeles, Venice Beach, Culver City and everywhere in between / What We Ate: Joe T. Garcia’s (Fort Worth) / What We Ate: Bartley’s B.B.Q. (Grapevine) / What We Ate: Snooze A.M. Eatery (Denver) / What We Ate: New Orleans / What We Ate: Denver / What We Ate: Crawfish Season
Ok, ok, wait. Hold up. A bacon cinnamon roll? Fried cookie dough? I want.
Umm, yeah. I think y’all need to come check out this ridiculiusness next year.
