The Best Halloween Drink Recipes
Cheers to Halloween celebrations! If you’re looking for the best Halloween drink recipes around to serve for a variety of occasions, you’re in the right place! We’ve got Halloween punch recipes, cocktails and mocktails, jello shots and more!
There’s something so much fun about a Halloween drink during spooky season.
Whether you’re looking to sip a classic recipe, like a Bloody Mary, or something more unique, like Witches Brew, you’re bound to find good options to choose from here!
We have drinks that are kid-friendly (hooray!), as well as some that aren’t. There are also a few that you can leave the spirits out of, too. 🙂
Options. We have them for all these fun drinks.
Occasions to make these Halloween drink recipes for:
Obviously, that depends on you and what you (and your people!) are into, but there are so many gatherings these drinks could work for.
- A house party
- An office celebration
- Dinner with friends or your family
- Trick-or-treating
- Pumpkin carving or painting party
- A spooky movie night
If you’re bringing your drinks on the go, just make sure they’re in safe, sealed containers and also that it’s OK to tote a drink with you where you live. (We’ve lived in Louisiana, where transporting some Halloween cocktail recipes is no big deal, but I can see that being frowned upon other places.)
What are some tools I might need to make these recipes?

Obviously, this depends on what drink you’re making, but here are a few tools we keep in our kitchen at all times to mix a variety of drinks:
- Cocktail shaker
- Cocktail strainer
- Citrus juicer or reamer
- Mini angled measuring cup
- Cocktail spoon
- Punch bowl
- Large ice cube maker
- Cocktail glasses (depending on the drink, you could use martini glasses, coupe glasses, a rocks glass and more.)
- Plastic cups, especially if you’re hosting a Halloween party
Again. This isn’t a comprehensive list, but it’s a jumping off point for what you might need, depending on the drink recipe you choose.
What are some ingredients to use for these Halloween drink ideas?
Obviously, this depends on the recipe itself.
Here are a few popular recipe ingredients:
- Liquors, like tequila, vodka, apple brandy, sweet vermouth, sherry, absinthe, etc.
- Juices, like cranberry juice, lemon juice, lime juice, apple cider (or juice), orange juice and more
- Sweeteners, like simple syrup, honey syrup, maple syrup, agave, etc.
- Sparkling additions, like ginger beer, ginger ale, grenadine or lemon lime soda
- Garnishes, like cinnamon sticks and other aromatic spices, sprigs rosemary or thyme, apple slices, etc.
Please note that dry ice should never go INSIDE a drink. It’s wonderful for a spooky effect, but it’s dangerous if ingested. It should only be used on display with proper safety measures taken. (More information on dry ice safety here.)
What should I pair with these Halloween cocktails and mocktails?
I have so many Halloween food recipes for you!
From classic fall flavors, like my Sage Pumpkin Hummus, to cute Halloween treats, like Halloween Rice Krispie Treats and Halloween Funfetti Cookies, it’s hard not to love them.
There are also some spookier and gory-looking food ideas for you in that post above, too, if that’s something you’re into. I know not everyone enjoys it, so enter at your own risk!
