Cooking Gifts for Kids
If you’re searching for cooking gifts for kids, you’ve found it! We’ve compiled a list of cooking-related toys, as well as real kitchen tools that kids will love. Whether you’re searching for birthdays, the holidays or just because, there’s something for everyone on this kids gift guide.

It’s time for a kid-related gift guide, friends, and I am excited for this one! Why? Because my family has a lot of the items on this list, and the girls love hem. (Also, they’d love to receive the ones they don’t have.)
Whether you’re a parent, aunt or uncle, grandparent or a friend who wants to give a child something fun, this gift guide was written for you.
So whether you’re looking for a birthday present, a holiday gift or just because, these cooking gifts for kids are fabulous for any time of year. Heck, you could use this gift guide as inspiration for a present for yourself. (If you’re into that kind of thing.)
Who is this gift guide for?
These toys, kits, tools and more are for kids of all ages, though I must share that this was written when my girls were younger so we’ve got a decent mix of items for toddlers up to tweens.
Please note that we do not have much here for the teenagers… mostly because I’m not living that life yet, but also because they can be self-sufficient in the kitchen. (And if your teenager is into cooking or baking, you could probably reference Gifts for Bakers or Gifts for Cooks to find a unique present for them!)
Cooking Gift Ideas for Kids
Whether your child is a budding baker or chef OR just really likes pretend play pertaining to the kitchen, we’ve got a little bit of something for everyone.
You can provide tools to help them work in the kitchen (or help YOU work in the kitchen), as well as provide playful things for little chefs.
In this list, you’ll find cooking kits and baking sets to use in your kitchen. (There’s also an Easy Bake Oven, which I was utterly obsessed with as a kid.) And we’ve also got toys for the kids who want to make their own food in the playroom.
No matter what you’re looking for, there are gift ideas here for any young chefs who loves food!

Not only are these knives functional, but they’re also dishwasher safe.
Our daughter has these knives, and she loves assisting with food prep in the kitchen. Perfect for anyone 5 and up!
There’s now a feature that allows you to clip on safety netting to avoid any falls out of the tower from the side, too. And the best feature, in my opinion, is that this kitchen tower folds up and can easily be scooted out of the way when it’s not in use.
This tower helps your kid stand independently at countertop height and participate, whether it’s standing and snacking, lending a hand with the prepping of meals or even assisting in the cooking. (Obviously, this is all dependent on the age of your child and their and your comfort level of letting them assist in the kitchen.)
Help them make a princess or fairy of their own with this awesome set. It comes with all the mixes you’ll need to make the cakes, fondants, and icing—just add milk and eggs. It includes with two doll bodies and all the cutters and tools you’ll need to make the dresses. Don’t worry—it comes with a step-by-step guide, too!
Just like the one above, this set comes with an egg cracker that empowers kids to learn about cracking eggs on their own with little to no mess. The mixing bowl has a suction cup so that even the most enthusiastic bakers will have a hard time spilling it. Everything is silicone, so it cools quickly and is easy to clean. A great gift for kids that want to create something exciting and new!
The 34 pieces include a pizza box, play money, a pizza paddle, rolling cutter, all the toppings for a pizza and a play oven for them to “cook” it all in. There’s even a recipe card they can follow. The oven has moving parts so they can learn to adjust things, too. On top of the counter are spaces for all the toppings, which helps with creativity and clean up!
Toys like this are great for kids who are too young for real ovens but still want to feel like they’re really making a meal for their families.
If you didn’t have one, the concept is simple and wonderful. The Easy Bake Oven comes with mixes that you just add water and/or an egg to. It includes with a small spatula and whisk, perfect for small hands. Kids pour the mix into the special Easy Bake pan, and then gently push it into the oven, where it really cooks. This one is electric, so there’s no waiting for a lightbulb to cook brownies like us ‘80s babies had to do!
This particular set comes with the mixes for red velvet cupcakes, star cookies and big soft pretzels. It includes with everything you need to make and enjoy these, too, so there’s a cupcake tin and frosting, as well as nacho cheese for the pretzels.
Buy refill packs, and kids can enjoy this Easy Bake Oven over and over again for years.
One side contains a kid-sized booth where kids can “eat,” and the other side contains the kitchen. The play set comes with a fake jukebox that kids can drop an included plastic coin into. (Unfortunately, it doesn’t play music, but you could probably figure out how to make that happen at home!) The kitchen side includes an oven, stovetop, grill, fridge, as well as soda and milkshake dispensers.
Unfortunately, the set doesn’t include food. You can either use toy food that is already in the home or add the matching toy diner food and condiment set. Those come with coffee pots, food, menus, and a basket of real-looking condiments. Fun for anyone three and up!
Everything is made from a cotton/polyester blend, so it holds up in the play and real kitchens. The hat and apron are both adjustable, too.
Whether your cooking kid is trying out cooking for the family or just pretending, they’ll look like the real deal in this cute set.
