Bourbon Drinks

Oh, bourbon drinks and bourbon cocktails. They’re some of our all-time favorites because we’re big bourbon fans.

Before we dive into the drinks, though: Do you know the difference between whiskey and bourbon? As the saying goes: all bourbon is whiskey, but not all whiskey is bourbon.

Bourbon is a type of whiskey that has very specific requirements. Some of these requirements include:

  • The mash making the bourbon must be at least 51% corn
  • It must be produced in America
  • The mash must be distilled at 160 proof or less and bottled at 125 proof or less.
  • Bourbon has to be aged in charred white oak barrels that are new.
We’ve got several different bourbon cocktails and bourbon drinks here for you to try here. Some are heavier on the booze while others have fruity notes to balance out the oakiness of the bourbon.

Some of my most popular bourbon drinks include Blizzard Cranberry Bourbon Cocktail, Mint Julep and Peach Bourbon Slush!

(Also, please note that I love to mix bourbon into some food recipes, including Bourbon Pecan Pie, Bourbon Sweet Potato Casserole and Chocolate Chip Brownies with Bourbon and Pecans.)
