A few weeks back, one of my besties and her mother visited a local peach farm and brought back the ACTUAL best peaches of my life.

They were the kind of peaches that you bite into and immediately moan because they’re so juicy and bursting with flavor.

And y’all, I cannot stop thinking about them.

I’ve been a peach fan for as long as I can remember, and I always love this time in summer because peaches are abundant. But this year, it’s been a rough, short season. Apparently, late spring weather conditions caused this all over the nation, and it makes me sad.

BUT! The silver lining of the short peach season is this gorgeous fruit that is unlike anything I’ve ever tasted.

Needless to say, all the ripe peaches my friend sent me home with got gobbled up before we much could be done with ‘em.

But I made a fun, summery drink modeled after this spritzer and IT IS A NEW FAVORITE.

    Why I love this recipe:

This individual-sized Ginger Peach Punch oh-so-versatile and perfect for entertaining. (Because yes, this recipe can be made for the masses by doing some simple math!)

I’m envisioning glasses of these beauties being served at a summer shower and them just being PERFECT for all the guests because they taste fancy without needing fancy ingredients or much preparation fuss.

    Wouldn’t that be fun?

And if you’re not into entertaining, this punch is so perfect for a hot afternoon. Goodness knows I’ve enjoyed it several times in the last few weeks…

    Let’s talk ingredients!

In addition to the tools above, you’re going to need some ingredients to make this recipe, too! Chances are, you might already have some of them in your fridge or pantry. Scroll down to the recipe card for the full measurements and instructions.

Here are the ingredients you need to make this peach mocktail:

    • Mint leaves — I pick these straight from my herb garden, but you can get fresh mint from the grocery store if you don’t grow it at home.
    • Peach — the key is a super juicy and ripe. We want it to be so fresh so that when you muddle it, it will release its juices to mingle with those mint leaves. Also, using the freshest peach means we don’t need to sweeten this drink with syrups, honey or maple syrup.
    • Ginger ale — use your favorite brand. You could also use club soda or ginger beer.

How to make Ginger Peach Punch

Add the fresh mint leaves and the halved peach to a glass.

Muddle until the ingredients are mashed together. (You could also throw these into a blender or a small food processor if you’d prefer the base of your drink to be a smooth peach puree.)

    Add ice.

Pour in the ginger ale and give the mocktail a good stir.

Garnish with additional mint sprigs and a peach slice, if desired. Enjoy immediately.

    Erin’s Easy Entertaining Tips

Punch recipes like this are so refreshing and perfect for the summertime.

But since this recipe only makes a single glass, there are some things to be done.

Here is how I would make this punch for a crowd.

    • Double/triple/quadruple/etc. the ingredients and make a pitcher. Follow the steps to muddle the peaches and mint together in a pitcher.
    • Make it early, and let the peaches and mint hang out together in the pitcher (or a sealed container) in the refrigerator. They will get juicier the longer they sit!
    • When ready to serve to guests, add the appropriate amount of ginger ale to the pitcher, and enjoy.

Quick tips and tricks to making the best single-serving punch

    • Use the freshest peach you can find. This way, it’ll be beautifully juicy and when muddled with the mint, it will sing.
    • Serve it ice cold. This makes it all the more refreshing.
    • Add bonus fruit. Peaches play well with so many other flavors. Feel free to throw in some berries (like blueberries, strawberries or raspberries) and muddle those with the peach for bonus flavor.
    • No ripe peaches? Use nectarines instead.
