Tequila Cocktails

If you’re looking for tequila cocktails and tequila drinks, you’re in the right spot! Tequila is a distilled beverage that’s made from the blue agave plant. (Pro tip: When you’re at the liquor store looking to choose a bottle, make sure it states that it is 100% agave tequila.) Did you know there are three main types of tequila?

• Blanco tequila is bottled almost immediately and is clear. It’s also referred to as silver tequila or joven because it is not aged. (A few are, but they are aged for a very short period of time.)
• Reposado tequila is aged for up to a year in oak barrels.
• Añejo tequila has been aged longer than a year in oak barrels. There’s also extra añejo, which is aged for longer than regular añejo tequila.
