Instructions
Make the Lemon Sugar
Zest the lemon, then place in a small bowl with the sugar.
Stir the sugar and lemon together until combined, and set aside.
Take the lemon wedge, and run along the lip of the cups you’ll be serving the margaritas in.
Make the Margaritas
Using a citrus juicer, juice 3-4 small lemons to have the freshly squeezed 7 oz. of lemon juice. (This may take more or less lemons, depending on the size and juiciness.)
Once the lemons have been juiced, pour the juice into the base of a blender.
Add the frozen cherries, orange liqueur, silver tequila and agave nectar to the blender.
Blend until smooth.
Pour into the prepared glasses, and enjoy immediately!
Notes
This recipe can easily be doubled or tripled if serving a crowd. If making for a party, I suggest juicing the lemons in advance and storing in a glass jar in the refrigerator until it's time to blend the margaritas. That way, you won't be shackled to the juicer when you want to be socializing with your friends.
