I know, I know. I’ve been a little quiet around these parts because things have been a lot busy in life. But all this is changing, hopefully, and I’m excited to announce to y’all that I am a new contributor to the website Twenties Hacker. I’ll be writing about food – cooking and how-tos mostly, I believe – once a month, and I am super excited to be a part of the food team.

My first post went live today, and I wanted to share it here, too, because it’s an important part of ANY tailgate here in Louisiana.

A roux.

Because, you know, it’s the base for so many scrumptious dishes.

And because it’s delicious.

I love this! And I’ve totally purchased things from the Nola school of cooking. Great spices there.
